Cookies & Local Storage

Current approach: GripOnGames does not currently configure first-party audience-tracking or advertising cookies. We use limited browser storage for features such as Predictor selections and privacy preferences, and optional external media is controlled through the website's privacy settings where applicable.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website or service in a browser. Similar technologies, including local storage, can also save information on a device.

UK privacy rules can apply to cookies and similar browser-storage technologies depending on how they are used.

2. GripOnGames local storage

GripOnGames currently uses browser local storage for limited website functions.

This includes:

• Football Predictor selections and optional score predictions, so your choices can remain available on the same browser or device; and
• privacy preferences used to remember choices you make about optional external media or similar content.

Predictor data is not used to create a named GripOnGames profile or public leaderboard.

You can clear locally stored GripOnGames data using the controls below or through your browser settings.

3. Control Room security cookie

The private GripOnGames Control Room uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie after an authorised administrator signs in.

This cookie is used for authentication, access control and security. It is not an advertising or audience-analytics cookie and expires automatically according to the Control Room session settings.

4. External media and third-party cookies

Some GripOnGames pages may offer external content such as embedded video or livestream players.

Where the GripOnGames privacy controls apply, optional external media is prevented from loading until you enable it. Until the content is enabled, your browser should not need to contact that external media provider merely to display the blocked player.

If you choose to enable external media, your browser may connect directly to the relevant provider. That provider may then use cookies, local storage or similar technologies according to its own privacy practices.

GripOnGames uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain where supported, but YouTube remains a separate service and may process information when its content is loaded or played.

Where an external link is provided, you may choose to open the content directly on the provider's website instead.

5. Analytics and advertising

GripOnGames does not currently configure first-party audience analytics or advertising cookies on the public website.

If non-essential analytics, advertising or other optional tracking technologies are introduced later, the Privacy Policy, this page and the website's privacy controls must be reviewed and updated before those technologies are enabled where consent or other action is required.

6. Managing your privacy preferences

You can use the GripOnGames privacy controls to clear locally stored Predictor data and, where available, change or clear stored external-media preferences.

You can also remove or block cookies and local storage using your browser settings.

Blocking browser storage or external content may prevent some features, such as saved Predictor selections, embedded video or livestream content, from working as intended.

7. Changes to this page

We will review this page when the technology used by GripOnGames changes, including if analytics, advertising, additional external services or other browser-storage technologies are introduced.
